I don't understand what the fuss is about.....the market is manipulated by bots / algos all the time....both up and down. So as long as there's no huge volume on down days and the SP is acting in an relatively orderly manner the uptrend is still in play. Also if concerned you could always gain access to the broker data to help in joining the dots. Anyway here's a bit of info which may or may not assist as follows:
Broker data since the consolidation (30 Nov) shows the major "net volume" action as follows:
ComSec +478k
Bell Potter +93k
Weahub +54k
Macquarie +50k
JPMorgan +50k
OrdMin -62k
InsAus -260k
UBS -296k
Also UBS has been an active seller for some time....in the last 3 months....8.30m and 16.01m since the Annual Report (27 March 2017).
I don't understand what the fuss is about.....the market is...
