Seagull, your first estimation for top 20 selling was 39 mill, now (second paragraph) its 45 mill. Anyway I'll just say both are incorrect and leave it at that. I see you realise the listings for 2015 and 2016 are different and that's where the error in your comparisons lie. There are 34 entries in the 2015 list only 20 in the 2016 list meaning you can't compare the total figures, which you are doing. Ie difference in number of top 20 for the two years
What you can only compare are the names of the entries.
If you compare only the entries above 3,096,835 in the 2015 list with the 2016 you'll get the answer.
Ps it's nowhere near 39 or 45 mill
