I feel sorry for everyone, hopefully AVZ pulls through—I think it is inevitable the current board sustains it’s mandate. I didn’t see this coming in 2021/22. Something was odd though about all the delays due to confirming ‘Technicals’ prior to decree.

Not only is it a serious matter it is a forgotten matter while the share price was suppressed for a long time. Thanks for raising it and please explain why you are bringing it up now.

I can say I contacted the company about this but got no reply.

My notes show, for example, the BNB MOU saying BNB has strategic supply agreements with certain bus companie.Some of which are known prestigious brands, Yutong, KingLong and Higer.

AVZ, to quote:

“The company has strategic supply agreements with Yutong Bus, Zhongtong Bus, King Long Bus, Yaxing Bus, Higer bus and Wuzhou Long Bus, with purchase orders in excess of 2 million kWh, and 5 billion yuan.”

I am mindful AVZ had a strategic advisor for China in 2017 to 2019 May. I am also mindful this strategic advisor does not send AVZ announcements to the ASX

From above quote. in hindsight, after much research on China’s NEV supply chain, especially the basics on the subsidy scheme, it is important to clarify, “Purchase orders” does not necessarily mean paid for purchase orders nor confirms relevance to NEVs supplied with batteries and over what period is crucial too.

Evidence on hotcopper shows this Yutong relationship mattered to shareholders here. Did anyone check the facts and let AVZ know? @8horse ?

My notes show a WeChat session with a Gaogong lithium research analyst, the same institution CATL relied on in its IPO for industry statistics. Many of these CATL Gaogong statistics on battery supply are ranked on a wh/kg basis, and come from China’s MIIT registering NEVs.

This battery supply analyst says the AVZ announcement is wrong about Yutong, CATL was the supplier to Yutong. All the bus companies mentioned by AVZ didn’t rank in the top 20 companies BNB supplied to, in fact, Yutong for example, had only a few buses supplied in 2017 and 2018.

Please see the table below from a Chinese industry source.

Keeping it simple, based on Gaogong statistics collated from MIIT, in 2018, Yutong bus company battery supply records :

In 2018

CATL : 21,361 buses

BNB : 00

In 2017,

CATL: 16,503 buses [YUTONG]

BNB : 00 [YUTONG]

My ‘HKTD’ wanted to check this, and his extremely ‘non-purportable’ reliable source supplied an xlsx spreadsheet showing instead, BNB supplied batteries 2 Yutong buses in 2017. So there are slight deviations and only slight suggesting from my perspective the extremely high reliability of the data for the purpose here.

Notably, none of the bus companies AVZ represent as material to BNB’s market position have supply worth talking of.

So how can AVZ say BNB had a strategic supply agreement with Yutong?

AVZ has not substantiated its representations. We are just expected to accept them. And unlike assays there is are no independent expert reports on BNB’s bonafides, no audit, and yet the announcement is marked price sensitive by the ASX.

Was it purchase order basis to substantiate “holds the dominant market position for China’s bus market”?

Because, in just one row, CATL supplied 16,503 Yutong buses alone more than the total combined supply by BNB to its 71 customers ?

By contrast the top supplied manufacturers for BNB in 2017 are not represented in AVZ’s BNB MOU.

Make a comparison, none of these companies were represented in the MoU and yet this ranking is sourced from BNB. Gaogong shows similar bearing in mind some manufacturers are large groups.

The data shows evidence there are serious issues as Chatforummember warns.

@8horse could you corroborate this for us? We need your 8 stamp. This is 2017 above. I know the 2018 data does not change the basic fact AVZ got the facts wrong. I point out Yutong because it is prestigious, and clearly belonged to CATL’s list of customers.

Why I am focussing on 2017, is because these statistics was available to AVZ—and it ought to have known about the true statistics—prior to the March 12 BNB MOU.

The main takeaway is, BNB had no supply to Yutong to justify what Avz said about Yutong alone.

The other bus companies are the same story, with Higer absolutely ZERO across 2017 and 2018.

Look at Zhontong bus in 2017 at number 71. WTF.

So what does this suggest?

You tell me and report yourself.

AVZ clearly did not seek independent, as possible, data from recognised Chinaindustry sources. There can be no mystification. CATL’s first IPO draft was released late December 2017, to find out who is considered reliable is not too hard in that prospectus alone.

There’s more.

Now, the retort of substantiation can always be vexed, I stand behind what I say. Let AVZ make a public disclosure, not an email.
