Leaving aside possible adverse market events (e.g. a decline in the Lithium market or Trump doing something silly) or something going wrong at AGY, these announcements show potential for strong sentiment capable of pushing the price to near $1.00 (my belief).

Toward the end of this year AGY is expected to release firmed-up plans about expanding their primary processing capability (converting brine to Lithium) and there is the distinct possibility (suggested by MD Jerko Z) that they may skip the Stage 2 plant and go straight to building Stage 3.

The key catalyst for this would be strong financial support (probably a combination of up-front payment for product combined with a debt finance instrument) from a strategic customer (a battery maker or big auto trying to firm-up supply).

This announcement (or even commencing building the smaller Stage 2 plant option) will have a strong affect on the share price. My opinion is that AGY will then push well into dollar territory. This could happen somewhere between November 2018 and March next year.

Given the remarkable achievement being one of the few aspiring Lithium brine operations to achieve battery grade capability in the last 20 years, we expect AGY to be much sort after by both Lithium customers and potentially other brine producers seeking access to AGY's technology.

Therefore, a range of (as yet) unknown possible deals could be in the wind; while this is speculation, it is also a real possibility.

Many here expect that within 2 to 3 years, AGY will look a bit like Orocobre Ltd ORE:ASX, currently trading at circa $4.50

I offer this information purely as my opinion and you should read through the many posts (pick the ones with +30 thumbs-up) under "fundamentals" to see if you find verification before making your investment decision.

Re Pilot Plant.... at this stage I wouldn't place any expectations on the Pilot Plant capacity being increased. It was already increased from 150 tpa to 500 tpa when they committed to the Stg 2.1 ponds.

However, as of the D&D presso on Monday, I think we can consider it official now that the Stg 2 plant capacity is been upgraded from 1,500 tpa to a target of 1,500 - 2,000 tpa.
