This is one conversation I have had many times here & I believe that I will have it many more times in the future.
The type of gap we had yesterday is an "inside gap"
This occurs when the sp opens higher than the previous bar's close but LOWER than the previous bars HIGH.
This is not to be confused with the outside gap which everyone is familiar with.
Some may choose to ignore them but I am not one of them and have found them to be a useful statistical tool and are as good as an indicator in analyzing my charts.
There is a statistical closure rate for these types of gaps on AGY chart of 89% in the first 6 periods so believe it or not it does happen & it will keep happening.
