If the copper price continues on its great run of 2017 then the outlook for HOR in 2018 could be quite good. The SMART oxide copper project starts to look viable. Even a whiff of a PFS should give HOR some SP support. Management just needs to be seen to be doing something positive right now.

Copper spot price is presently trading at US$3.25/lb (AUD9,200/t) - that is a 4 year high (see 5 year chart below) and up 30% for calendar year 2017. Impressive but still below early 2013 prices of US$3.75/lb

LME copper warehouse stocks are at about 200,000t which is close to recent lows so lack of supply should help maintain a healthy Cu price in 2018 IMO. GLTAH
