Pardon my stupidity but I'm not following your logic. You are saying they took A), B) and C) is a bingo?
If what you are suggesting is Nyrstar/Glencore are minded to prevent greenfield operations, thus restrict IBG from starting:
1) why would they let an MD proceed with development? They could have installed a Muppet.
2) why would they accept dilution and weaken their control when you suggest they want to control IBG's fate
3) when the share price was 3cents they could have made an all cash 6cents offer for not much back then (less shares on issue), cut all staff and put it in the bottom drawer. Your article infers Glencore want acquisitions albeit in the food handling space.
There were so many more steps they could have taken if that was their true intention.
What you are implying is hard to follow.
