Thanks for the info GT55, I was not aware of Volt chasing the expandable graphite market as their primary marketing focus! But just a few minutes of research shows why they would do so!

    Here's some quotes:

"Demand for expandable graphite for use in flame retardant building materials may exceed demand from electric vehicles. Changes in Chinese and European building regulations, and a macro shift towards environmentally friendly products, is a driving force behind potential future demand."

"Expandable graphite currently used to produce:
Graphite foil, the heat shield in many electronic devices
    Graphite paper/sheet
    Seals, gaskets
    Foundry items
    Brake linings
    Flame retardant building materials"

"Chinese building requirements now require the use of flame retardant building materials for all inner insulation and finishing of exterior walls, great potential for exponential demand growth. The demand is large, but the supply is limited"

"Expandable graphite is one of the fastest growing markets along with Li-ion batteries. It is the only graphite market to have experienced price increases over the last couple years and is largely based on XL flake material."

"Expanded graphite foil can sell for up to US$50,000 per tonne."

It is clear that the market for Expandable Graphite will be huge. Let's hope that VRC is able to tap into this market and sell many thousands of tonnes of its Graphite ore!
