His strongest view in his stable of names in 2018 is Clydesdale Bank. Acknowledging the stock has had a "great run", he sees more gains in the coming year. "I still see an above-system growth outlook and I see plenty of latency in the current operating model," he says. Like Computershare, CYBG is also a "great cost-out story" with a strong balance sheet and capital position. Meeting advanced capital management regulatory rules by October means the company is "getting closer to returning capital" to shareholders.
