I make a living out of shares and at one stage I realized I had 40% of the portfolio was the big 4 so I trimmed it back to 10% but like I said before 10 years on from the GFC and the banks are back where we started so there has been no growth, dividend cuts and cap raising.
Things are changing and the days of Australia's banks being the most profitable in the world are over and they will continue to lose market share partly due to their disgusting treatment of customers and the lack of accountability that has been exposed in the RC,they will lose their market dominance and the like of Master card,Visa ,Apple and Microsoft will eat away at the margins,so its obvious where I am focusing my investments and that is towards growth and these companies are will not go away they are big and they will make sure there is competition and that means less profits for banks.
