That is absolute rubbish, you talk as if the Big 4 are crap at Technology themselves and don't invest in it at all - remember, their resources are far greater than any Fintech and what they do maybe first the Banks will quickly follow and surpass them......or if not, simply invest in or buy them (ie CBA with Klarna).
Now is NOT the time to be selling the Big 4.......Now is the time to BUY the Big 4 for anyone who has a medium to long term timeline.
I guarantee you that the Big 4 will be much higher in 5-10 years time then where they are now.......ex CBA the others should double and go very close to it over that time period just like they did post GFC.
If you take in to account compounding dividends, one would be looking at a 150-200% capital gain all up again like post GFC!
It's funny - you gloat about being a Buffett type investor and "living" off stocks and making a killing with the Big 4 post GFC but yet you are now trying to tell the world what bad investments the Big 4 are now just because the prices are at where they are post GFC - Ummm any contradiction there at all???
Yes the Big 4 will come under some margin pressure over the coming years esp if we enter negative interest rates but that will not stop them continuing to make many Billions of dollars profits each year and maintain their market shares - remember when financial crisis happens it's not the Big 4 that suffer, it's the smaller players that suffer the most and usually go to the wall just like we saw in the GFC which leads to even greater market share for the Big 4 and consumers opt for safety!
NAB, WBC & ANZ are all OUTSTANDING buys at current for anyone who has a 5-10 year window!
