Not quite. Mission is being accomplished. Singapore thought they had it licked, only to experience a second wave. We are being more cautious. Around 536,000 tests already done, but now we have 10 mill more in stock. Every second person could be tested in the end. And then there is the app- someone gets sick, and their contacts can be traced.
I think on the 11th May, they will announce even more restrictions being lifted. Businesses will start to come back, bit by bit. Some sectors will still have problems (e.g. tourism) and some businesses will not reopen, but the hit may not be as severe as people imagine. We will see. As I said, the caronavirus growth factor is currently just 0.88, and it only needs to be below 1.0 for more restrictions to be lifted- and soon.
