The fallout from covid damage will last beyond oct and as for everything being ok after that depends on peoples individual circumstances. Are you suggesting a less volitile environment , are you suggesting employment numbers will improve, minimal bankruptcy / loan defaults, increase in business and consumer confidence, an imminent vaccine..... Blanket statements really dont help. No doubt the economy will eventually recover and westpac like the other 3 will be cost cutting and looking for ways to maximize margins. But its not easy to for banks to bank huge profits at near zero interest and with subdued demand...i hope your in the green, enjoy the ride..
