With the extremely hot and in many cases dusty weather today (Saturday 28 November), competitor AWB (Cargills) says on its website that its Birchip, Victoria GrainFlow site is closed today due to the total Fire Ban.
Other sites appear to have restricted operating hours.
GNC doesn't publicly highlight its silo opening hours each day, but one would think GNC would be similarly affected.
Some towns/rural cities in northern Victoria and parts of NSW are expecting up to 45 degrees today with temperatures by 0930 AEDT having already reached 36.
It looks like operations should be back to normal - not that this mammoth harvest is 'normal', and that's a good thing - but today's cessation or smaller opening hours may decrease the amount of receivals shown in Monday's GNC 30 November 2020 harvest update from what they could have been.
