On an insipid start to trading, by 1030 hours on Tuesday 1 December GNC was up 2.75 per cent to A$4.49 so perhaps 'the market' is digesting the (possibly understated as NBC above informs us) ABARES December 2020 expected crop production forecast.
We don't want to get ahead of ourselves but surely in the next year holders can expect some reasonably juicy dividends.
While urban dwellers like me who hold will benefit, it's even more pleasing that growers who've had hard times in the last two to three years will have a bit more money to pay down debt or go on a much needed overseas holiday if we're ever again permitted to.
