the usual stem cell transplant for lymphoma or leukaemia patients is haematopoetic stem cell, which is different from mesenchymal stem cell. The main purpose is that the “normal cells” could replace abnormal cells.
having said that, Msc has role in immunomodulation, it could be beneficial for Pneumonia in HIV immunocompromised host.
