In summary the CEO advised that BRN has applied for an export licence to China from the USA due to confusion surrounding the current law and it may be that they do not need a licence to export AKIDA to China. Making the application will provide an answer to whether it is required or not.
Reading the latest news on the issue of export restrictions it seems that the USA has only placed a restriction on particular types of software which could be used to make weapons that are capable of independently selecting targets.
As we know AKIDA is actually hardware however I suspect that the confusion arises from BRN's point of view because AKIDA despite being hardware has the same qualities as the software that has been restricted.
