What Is Averaging Down?
Buying more shares at a lower price than what you previously paid is known as averaging down, or decreasing the average price at which you purchased a company's shares.
You can still recover from a loss by using this strategy. It can also pass your buy in, you will recover the loss and you will also make some profit while it was lower, if it goes up of course, and many people believe it will.
