Before anyone gets too carried away with the use of AKD1000 or AKIDA technology more generally the following article is a useful incite into the breath analysis space.
It should also be remembered that an AKIDA device to detect disease from human breath from Volatile Organic Compounds would be classified as a medical device and would require approval from the relevant authority in the country where it is proposed to be used. In the USA for example FDA approval would be required. These approvals can be long winded and may require human trials before registration occurs.
The AKIDA device from the limited information we have had released would likely be based upon the AERO system which as such would probably mean that it would have a significant advantage in due course over the devices referred to in the following linked article as they are all aimed at single disease diagnosis.
While the AERO system has a capability of testing for 20 different gases at once it may well be that thanks to the Ai capabilities of AKD1000 it could test for a range of medical conditions from the one sample of breath. This would have a huge advantage in that when a patient attends a Doctor with a complaint or just for a general check up that the routine could become blood pressure and AKIDA breath test. In short it might be able to test for Covid diseases, different types of cancer, diabetes, kidney, lung and liver disease on the basis of one breath sample and produce the results in real time. This potential for multi disease detection is what will make it a world beater not just being able to test for Covid-19 as they are behind in this race.
But like Rome it is not going to happen in a day.

Dont forget Ulcers as they are currently tested by a breath sample, and it has to be sent away to be tested.
Laboratory tests for H. pylori. Your doctor may recommend tests to determine whether the bacterium H. pylori is present in your body. He or she may look for H. pylori using a blood, stool or breath test. The breath test is the most accurate.
For the breath test, you drink or eat something that contains radioactive carbon. H. pylori breaks down the substance in your stomach. Later, you blow into a bag, which is then sealed. If you're infected with H. pylori, your breath sample will contain the radioactive carbon in the form of carbon dioxide.
