I haven't seen the presentation because when I clicked on the link provided above, it went to a pretty sus site.
However, from the comments about Chris' (Kirs?) presentation, it seems to me from comments above that one possible explanation for the mix up occurred in the training phase or image capture phase, where the table was initially omitted from the background, so Akida assumed both the table and the tiger were the new object it was supposed to learn or identify.
Not surprising to me - when I was 2 years old, I mistook a collie dog for a lion. Still get them confused.
