So maybe the X factor of Apple's M1-X chip is not AKIDA..
But imagine the advantages, if it was..
My understanding, is that as laptops get more powerful, they produce more heat and use more energy.
This means more complex cooling systems and larger batteries, to give adequate cooling and run times.
Advances in cooling and battery technology, can address some of these issues in regards to weight and size of the cooling and battery components.
But imagine (and I'm not even sure if it can be used in this way), if the M1 processor could unload some of it's energy intensive tasks, onto the frugally energy efficient AKIDA SOC...
You would be able to produce a laptop, that had less cooling requirements and greater run times on a smaller battery and in a smaller package, where it counted.
A lighter, cooler running device.
Certainly, any laptop that took advantage of Brainchip's AKIDA technology, merely for the A.I. component (which will be an increasing part of these devices) would benefit from less need for cooling and much better energy efficiency, as competing technologies need more of both..
