Please Fellow HCs dont underestimate the significance of this sentence ""Intends to sole source"
I work in a bid team of a Multinational Construction company. Ive recently completed (Monday just gone) a bid to Rio Tinto in the Pilbara.
One of the Items in the bid, the Inverters, had to be sole sourced.
The hoops we have to jump through to sole source a product is unbelievable. Its because of the possibility of kickbacks and corruption. Sole source is a massive deal.
When a company like Rio Tinto or NASA sole source a product it literally means there are NO OTHER VIABLE OPTIONS.
That my friends, is big.
