I've seen comment on here about Tensor ditching Akida for the Loihi chip which got me scratching my head. Surely Tensor wouldn't go to all that trouble of an NASA SBIR proposal and subsequent award of funding only to then change the main catalyst for which their proposal was based on.

After some light reading, some of which actually wasn't light at all, its my opinion that Tensor haven't dropped us. Their announcement on 28 October was for licencing to use the Loihi Development System for their NASA Deep... (see below as its a lot to type).


This is a completely different project to the one which NASA accepted the below proposal for, that being a 6-month SBIR contract to develop a scalable neural net and neuromorphic module for in-space autonomous orientation and maneuvering. 6-months is up in January and we're likely to get an update on progress in one form or another...
