Government tendering here in Australia and I imagine in the US (as evidenced by this RFT) are bound by very strict probity rules. They have to provide opportunities to others so as to be seen as running a fair tendering process and providing value for money to the public. What this really represents is a request for all parties who can offer an Akida1000 device that meets the exact performance specifications as the Akida system provided by Brainchip or better to submit.
How many people do you imagine have a device that can do this other than the producer of Akida 1000? ZERO.
How many people do you think have a device like this hiding under their pillow just waiting for an opportunity like this to surprise Brainchip and beat them to the punch? ZERO.
What benefit would it have been to them to keep it hidden?
Hiding it does not make Akida any less Akida!
It's just a Government procurement formality.
