I believe what FF means by done deal is, NASA went ahead and stated they want Akida and requested an approval for sole source contract. This means they're confident and affirms that they'll be dealing with BRN and not others. And the core component in EAD is indeed BRN's Akida chip that's IP protected and exclusive aka only one in the world. Even if IBM or Samsung came up with their own solution NASA wouldn't budge because it is not Akida chip
