What about keeping an "eye" on Magik Eye also?
I'd guess this collaboration was introduced by Socionext. They might be small but they have deep reach into Japanese business circles via their founders and also the Socionext introduction and network.
This could be a lead into the gaming sector in my opinion.
Getting a product into the a mass consumer market like gaming would be mind boggling.
There is plenty of opportunity being developed by BRN.
