Hi Jesse
Have held the view for some years that the establishment of Intel's NRC is in itself an admission by Intel that when it comes to commercialization of it own neuromorphic chip, it's floundering. And in the absence of any meaningful progress in that regard, Intel has thrown Loihi out to predominantly a host of Universities keen on the offer from Intel for probably much needed funds to prop up research.

In regard to you response from Intel (generic answer it might be)....but amazingly Intel are still saying the same thing

"while we see promising potential business value emerging, we still see fundamental research challenges facing the entire field before new technology can be widely adopted and deployed."
