I doubt a takeover could happen. For one, it would be a take over by a foreign company. I dont see any australian companies in position to do such a thing.
Given the broad range and scope this technology brings to Australia and it's allies, it would probably be blocked by the federal treasurer as it would be contrary to our national interest. But you never know. I have been wrong once or twice.
