The situation regarding Trading Halts is that they are usually only called when there is a development that needs to be announced to the market. The halt allows time for the announcement to be formalised and theoretically prevents any insider trading on the back of the event that is to be announced.
Even if a Trading Halt was called prior to the podcast, any announcement has to be made via the ASX. Even if a halt was called, they legally cannot reveal the reason for the TH prior to the ASX announcement.
I suspect that we will get further details on the Renasas and the NASA agreements as well as other info that is not SP sensitive.
Everybody needs to realise that the podcasts are never going to reveal any price sensitive information prior to its being released via the ASX
