Agreed, that was my first thought when the announcement was posted today. The question is who or what.
If there is a pending announcement, my top picks would be an IP agreement with Osram (as per my previous post), or possibly one with Denso.
Both are participating in the Lidar space, although Osram's partner Leddartech has likely already verified integration with Akida judging by their announcement with Renesas, so Osram is more likely IMO.
The reason I mention Denso is because they recently announced a collaboration with Aeva to develop a "next-generation sensing and perception systems" using FMCW lidar:

But with 2 dozen potential customers, this is highly speculative and something else could come completely out of the left field.
