Brainchip has announced and provided figures for AKIDA detecting Covid-19 on exhaled breath and Brainchip is working with partners on the commercial application of a device for this purpose.
Announcements that have commercial value to a company do not always come from the company. Some posters have been concerned that with vaccines being developed the need for Covid-19 detection devices will be diminished but fear not as since yesterday the following announcements have been made:
1. India’s plan to vaccinate 200 million of its billion plus population by end 2021 is expected to take until 2023,
2. The head of the US Federal Reserve announced that there are huge uncertainties surrounding when an effective vaccination campaign will return the US economy to normal and around whether the variants of the Covid-19 virus will be controlled,
3. The UK vaccination program is rolling out far slower than projected,
4. The European Commission is alleging that Astra Zeneca is in breach of its contract by being unable to provide the EU with tens of millions of doses of vaccine.
Though this is all sad news for the world this should be seen as positive news for Brainchip and its partners as it is clear that world wide demand for their Covid-19 detection device is continuing at a pace.
The other drivers of demand for AKIDA technology such as robotic means of production, drone delivery services, telemedicine, secure connected distributed home based workers, contact free retail, autonomous transport systems are being reinforced as the difficulties of vaccinating the worlds population becomes grimly apparent against a realisation by business and governments that control of Covid-19 and its variants will not prevent the next viral cross over from animal to human and an entirely new pandemic.
Then consider the fact that the new President of the United States has already put reduction of green house gas production front an centre of US policy by this week signing the US back on with the Paris climate accord. This also is great news for AKIDA and its green credentials which allow it to dramatically reduce power used by data centres. So for those who are looking for news favourable to their investment in Brainchip we have it in spades.
My opinion only but certainly not just speculation
