My take on cars becoming the Smartphones of the future is to think about the Covid-19 pandemic and how it has driven demand away from public transport including taxis into what can best be described as personal isolation pods (cars) in much the same way Smartphones with texting and voice calls have created a world where face to face contact is no longer required for social contact.

I have been amused by young people though being able to speak face to face at social gatherings texting each other in preference to speaking.

When I was young I got to know through my wife a leading Sydney orthopaedic specialist and he bought a Rolls Royce and hired a driver and turned through various modifications the vehicle into a mobile office where the moment he stepped out his door he could commence being productive and making money as he was rebuilding his fortune after divorce.

The fact that pandemics will be a feature of the future and the rise of a geographically distributed workforce who will not have a desk in a office in the city will create the demand for personal isolation pods (cars) where people across the spectrum will have a need to be productive the moment they leave their houses in the morning until they return.

AKIDA will be at the forefront of this new world by reducing the need for connectivity and providing cyber secure work platforms in these pods (cars).
