I was reading Vorago's web site and some articles from its founder and the advantage of the Hardsil system is that once Vorago designs the hardening process they can give the file to any foundry (TSMC was nominated as an example) and they can mass produce the hardened processor. I saw this 53,000 number and like you assumed it was dollars being referred to so my wondering was is it a deposit on the mass production and as they have announced both Vorago Phase 1 and NASA EAP single source contract will this just be another anonymous customer receipt in the 4C and the Annual Report to Shareholders given the stealth approach taken by NASA in issuing the order for a semi conductor device.
We knew that if NASA was successful the secrecy would probably ramp up but this being the case we are left with the idea of proving a negative. In three years when there is lots of money in the bank and no one will say where it came from and the FBI has not launched an investigation we will probably be able to assume its NASA and/or DARPA paying the dollars.
My opinion only DYOR.
