I read in the NaNose literature that their sensor is self cleaning as a result of air flow.
As to the exhaling of air there would be a number of cheap methods but a disposable mouth piece similar to Police breath tests used to have.
I do not believe that a disinfectant wipe would interfere on the basis of the early research paper covering AERO was able to identify the 20 gas data set (each set having ten different gases) so it is pretty clever. It could of course be trained to identify and ignore any chemicals given off by the wipe as well.
If it was an alcohol wipe in a matter of seconds it would do its job and have evaporated.
My opinion only.
