How often have we heard the expression “he has no idea which way is up” well at least in the world of robotics spiking neural networks appear to be the answer. The following lengthy work makes clear why 1. On e shot learning 2. On chip memory and 3. Capacity for continuous learning are essential elements in creating a robot with humanoid qualities.
