From what I think I understand about the ‘secret sauce’ - and this is my view only, so it could be just crap really.. but anyway, I see that it’s more around how the feedback of neurotransmitters controls the ability of Akida to go on learning and not saturate on firing potentials. In order to produce a commercially viable product I think among other things they’ve had to overcome an instability - the tendency over time for neurons to fire more easily or to stop firing altogether, preventing learning from continuing to occur. Perhaps so far this is why everyone else is still in the lab with their SNNs - and why BRN can continue to boast that they have the only chip that actually learns. As I said AIMO.
