I agree. I think they will release an announcement once all the chips have been tested and released to EAP customers, so that nobody can say that someone else got an unfair head start - but that doesn't mean they haven't completed testing one or two (or more)... a lot of time and effort goes into written statements. Words are chosen deliberately.
