Yeah the stop loss might not get activated at pre and post market open and close if the share activation price is skipped. Say for example you had a stop loss activation at .31c (where the previous days closing price was .315) and this morning it opened at 30c.
Plus I think the market can move so quick and if there is not enough volume to cover your amount of shares and it drops below your bottom price then it might get missed as well. Not an expert, but this is what I've read on comsec...
