They think we did it easy.(I am tail end boomer)
I remember it took me 24 months to save the deposit for my first real estate purchase and that involved...
* Driving a bomb car
* Renting in a cheap suburb a less then salubrious home
* Not going out very much
* Watching every penny.
My father steadfastly refused to help fund it or go guarantor for the loan - with five kids he couldn't afford it.
Lived in shoe box in middle of road
They don't think they can buy a home because they are expecting...
