Artificial Intelligence (AI), Hardware And Software: History Does Rhyme

" BrainChip is now focusing their message on their software toolkit, the Akida Development Environment. For the last one and a half years, they’ve been providing it via license; but they’ve now made the environment freely available through their own site, Github, Python, and elsewhere. “We think our Akida™ neural processor has competitive advantages compared to existing deep learning accelerators,” said Roger Levinson, COO, BrainChip. “However, if application developers can’t leverage our low power, low cost, and incremental learning, our advantages remain unrealized. Making the Akida Development Environment freely available, and continuing to work closely with the development community, is critical to providing performance advantages to applications relying increasingly on neural networks.”
BrainChip Software Architecture BrainChip Inc. Note that, as with the rest of the AI/DL world, this is not a fourth generation, GUI driven solution. The industry is still a few years away from that. However, by openly tying its own development tools to the same resources used by developers leveraging existing tools, BrainChip is lowering the startup cost to working with their chipset. "
For the last one and a half years, BrainChip have been providing the Akida Development Environment via license? Okay, so that's quite a long time now? Was there even a single license agreement made? It really doesn't seem so, does it? Why was there no demand for this after one and a half years? Why? I thought several large companies would be keenly having a look behind the NDAs BrainChip/LDN used to tell us all about? Show your hand and help BrainChip out by paying for a license? It's quite strange to be honest, (in my opinion) BrainChip always made it appear there were many interested customers waiting behind the curtain. I would have assumed that at least one of the potential customers would have applied to license the Akida Development Environment by now. Why lower the cost if the product is so great and the demand is (supposedly already?) there? Perhaps there is no demand? Perhaps they've already had a look and said "nah, I'll pass"?
"We think our Akida™ neural processor has competitive advantages"
BrainChip "think" or BrainChip "know"?
I hope BrainChip know they have competitive advantages? Otherwise, they're not sure?
I can't believe we're still waiting for a significant paying customer!
And so many delays! Akida was due out late 2018, and not... maybe in 2020!
And now there's the issues with supply chains due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)...

If only BrainChip had significant paying customers for software solutions like BrainChip Studio and/or the Akida Development Environment, that have little/to no issues with supply chains? After all, software is just a simple online transfer of digital files?
The customers always seem like they're just around the corner, just behind the curtain?
Hmm, I feel like I fell for the old razzle dazzle?
So I sold my ticket to the show, but I'm interested enough to follow the (lack of?) progress?
At least the ringleader of the show is getting paid well?

That looks like, ah... over 2 years, BrainChip shareholders rewarded LDN with:
Salary and Fees: US$782,948 (over $1 million in AUD)?
Total: US $5,438,282 in total (over $7 million in AUD)?
If I was being rewarded (in Australian currency) with at least $500,000 a year in salary and fees and have been rewarded by possibly over $8,000,000 in total over two years, well... I think I'd want to drag out the show (regardless if it's good?) as long as possible as well?
Here's hoping Akida is a real star performer and LDN was worth the investment all this time?
Shareholders have invested a lot into LDN? I think they'd like to see that justified soon?
We've been waiting long enough? Results are well overdue? Let's see some customers?
