FYI This is not something that BRN have a solution for.

This tender is specifically related to software that detects if a person is physically present/alive. The 'liveness' is detected through a complex algorithm that processes a short video that is captured when a person is taking a 'selfie' for the purposes of proving their identity. This type of liveness solution is developed over a significant period of time and by expert biometric organisations. The algorithms can operate in two ways; 1) on a smartphone device or; 2) on a server. The algorithms that run on a smartphone device (local liveness) do not require significant processing power - although are still highly accurate. The algorithms that run on a server (server-side liveness) obviously have significantly higher processing power and are therefore more robust and accurate than those that run on a smartphone device.

In a nutshell, this is not something that BRN are involved in.
Although in future they may be able to provide some impressive edge processing power for biometric organisations to enable faster algorithm processing.

(I work for such a biometric organisation and am keeping close tabs on what BRN are doing as there is significant benefit they can provide in this space)
