Very interesting but it raises the question do I really exist or am I simply sentient only in the mind of GPT3? As you said a little scary.

More seriously though even if it could write a “novel” would it actually be a novel in the true sense.

Great novels are not text books but written manifestations of one individuals personal expression of lived experience where they have felt pain both emotional and physical which have shaped there own unique perspective.

This machine cannot feel pain or grief. Even something as simple as falling over in a school playground and grazing a knee or being called names by a bully are beyond its capacity to feel.

A clever toy but just like blow up dolls only a small segment of the population will eventually find satisfaction in a relationship with a machine.

The public will eventually cause governments to catch up and legislate to require continuous disclosure of when content is machine generated.

Not a bad analysis for a machine or????????
