This is a recent excellent report of the current respiratory disease situation in Australia, two major key points which RAP can greatly assist the community is in acute respiratory diagnosis and with the increase in population density making the unnecessary use of antibiotic causing superbug even more important, the rate of respiratory disease will continue to increase so quick (hence cheaper), accurate and remote (hence cheaper) diagnosis are even more important.
And with chronic COPD and asthma management, the cost of hospital admission mainly caused by medication overuse and inefficient real time monitoring and management is costing $100 of millions per year and due to increase in poor air quality (especially in China and India), the number of COPD and asthma patients will continue to increase and of course there will always be competitors in this extremely lucrative consumer health sector. But the only way you can analysis respiratory condition is from your cough signature and wouldn't patients think the same so they will chose a product that you can easily analysis the severity of asthma and COPD with just a cough into the device, unlike the Loop which received FDA approval mid last year, https://www.mobihealthnews.com/cont...lths-remote-monitoring-wearable-copd-patients
"Acute respiratory infection caused 130,000 hospitalisations in 2011/12 (1.4% of all hospitalisations) and 3,000 deaths in 2012 (2.1% of all deaths in Australia in that year) (1). In 2017 there was an unexpected high rate of influenza related illness and hospital admissions. Many are preventable. o Respiratory tract infections are a major health burden leading to school, work and productivity loss (7)"
