We finished last year with a bang !
We have a highly effective new mode of action that is environmentally friendly. This a huge plus given the beginnings of a worldwide trend to ban insecticides causing human disease and having devastating effects on beneficial insects which as in the case of bees are essential to the plant/crop fertilisation process. There hasn't been a new mode of action in over a decade and as such current insecticides are becoming increasingly ineffective against existing insecticides. Resistance is increasing alarmingly. Its the perfect storm for Bio-Gene. As far as the company knows there is no other environmentally friendly new mode of action currently in development.

I am expecting :

a continuation of big newsflow throughout the year

a big increase in MTA's across the whole bug spectrum including mozzies.

existing 6 MTA's being progressed to the next stage with upfront payments made to ensure exclusivity. Some of these MTA's started over 12 months ago and none have dropped out.

Huge NGO interest across our bug spectrum including mozzies and grain storage. I would expect an organisation such as the Gates foundation to provide non dilutive funding to advance and fasttrack the development of Flavocide in their determination to rid the world of Malaria.
I also expect funding from the USA government to advance the development of Flavocide for the next time they spray Florida to get rid of the Azeka carrying mozzie so that they also don't kill every bee. Imagine the negative PR if they did that again when a better alternative is out there and ready to go. Catherine Hill is one of the worlds leading entomologists working at the USA's leading research facility at Purdue University. She is 100% behind Bio-Gene and has an entree to every NGO.

The quarterly should be out next week and I expect we will have some further IP updates based on the new developments in the previous quarter.. Robert Klupacs who was the MD of the company prior to the float and is also a registered patent and trade mark attorney and stepped aside for Richard Jagger who was previously the MD for Sinochem in Australia among other senior ag roles held to bring forward the commercialisation of flavocide and Qcide.

I am expecting the BGT share price to finish the year significantly higher than where we are today. Its going to be a very exciting year. At some stage very soon the market is going to wake up to the Bio-Gene potential.
