AaronS76's comment above about 'crops lost' at Moree (northwestern NSW) is serious, but on a more positive note (again, provided no waterlogging), 'The Weekly Times' had a graphic yesterday showing how good rainfall has been in NSW, Victoria and southwest Queensland.
Many weather stations have already received their annual rainfall, or at least 95 per cent, in six months of 2021. West Wyalong, NSW was at 126 per cent.
Anything can occur in the remaining five months to 31 December 2021 but the good falls are an encouraging sign. Even if it's just a good rather than stellar harvest from October 2021, one would expect GNC to substantially benefit coming off the bumper crop from the winter of 2020.
