With all this talk of rail moving the bulk of grain (as it should be), what opportunities exist for GNC via Pacific National to extract further efficiencies across its fleet network. I know in VIC, many of the branch lines are in a fairly poor state leading to speed restrictions etc. Whilst my understanding is that is the responsibility of the state government, perhaps GNC may be inclined to stump up some money to ensure the network is more reliable? Or at the very least put pressure on the government to do the same? Thoughts?
