Good points @sowens. Also, LG, the largest EV battery manufacturer in the world, has recently signed an off-take agreement for DLE that extends to 2030 and beyond. This binding commitment demonstrates that Lithium will be key to BEVs until at least 2030. The recent Stellantis presentation noted that Fe-Mn-Lithium and Ni-Mn-Lithium batteries will power their cars due for release en-masse in 2024/2025. These developments are a vote of confidence that lithium won't be superseded for at least the next decade. In addition, high demand will coincide with Lake's proposed Kachi production of 25,000t lithium by 2024, doubling to 50,000t by 2025. Furthermore, a report by Fitch Solutions (May 2021) stated that EV sales will "drive lithium consumption growth by as much as seven times over 2020 through 2030, while yearly EV sales will grow from 3.1 million to 21.2 million units." Again, we see 2030 as a forecast of peak lithium demand.
