I feel you're far too rational here, all that needs to happen for the SP to drop significantly in one day is a surge of sellers overwhelming the buy support. I believe this will happen once the exercised options are converted and then sold by those who are just trading the trade as quite a majority of the registry is retail. A few stops get hit on the way too, such is the nature of the market.
Short term I believe the SP will drop and it'll give holders an opportunity to buy. Nothing goes up in a straight line.
