"nice takeover offers" ...I wonder what significant shareholders would consider "nice". Obviously it might be attractive if the offer price is much more than the current share price. But some holders might consider that the share price has got much much further to run, and therefore a takeover may hugely reduce future earning capacity. And some people might object to the nationality of the takeover company... But I don't know about this sort of stuff.
