Would be a mistake IMO.
The only thing Washington will slap is their salami. Hedge funds have been manipulating the markets for a very long time so it was about time they were taken on. Hard to prove any manipulation unless they can prove Robinhood suspended accounts and buying of certain stocks but allowing the sale of them to favours shorters. Both sides will bring the lawyers and it will drag on for months while in the mean time it may make the hedge funds cover some shorts and think twice about over-shorting stocks.
